The renovation of the Meydenbauer Center was designed to create a friendly space for a wide variety of events—from corporate roadshows to evening receptions. The lighting supports this design using multiple layers to provide depth, reveal materials, and enhance flexibility.

 

Lighting in the high-volume atrium space highlights "fissures" in the canted wood walls (mocked up multiple times to ensure placement and output were just right). Large-scale custom pendants impart a welcoming glow while providing necessary light on the floor below via a downlighting component. In the meeting rooms, several layers of light, along with adaptable controls, create flexibility for a variety of events.
